'Puente Nuevo (meaning new bridge in Spanish), Ronda, Spain'

However the bridge is not new in the context of today, as the building of this bridge commenced in 1751 and took until 1793 to complete, a total of 42 years. The new bridge towers 120 metres (390 ft) above the canyon floor, and is the city's most impressive feature.

Built with stone masonry taken from the depth of the Tajo's gorge, below the bridge. It allowed the connection between the modern quarter of the city and the old quarter of the city, which allowed for the urban development of Ronda.
